ACF Values and Rules

RULES: We don't have many rules at ACF, but the ones that exist are super important. As a member of the ACF community, we ask that you uphold the following rules:

  1. There is a zero-tolerance policy for any hate speech, bullying, or any form of discrimination at the Adaptive Climber's Festival. Please don't bring any of that to the Fest.

  2. Don’t be a dick. See rule #1.

  3. Don’t leave with more/different disabilities than you came with.

  4. This event is all-ages, and while there will be nights where we drink around the fire please know that there will be children and people from all walks of life at ACF. Please be responsible and respectful of this.

  5. Please leave your pets at home.

  6. This year we have more people than ever before coming to hang out - which is amazing! Because of this, we kindly ask that if you have +1's wanting to come that you have not already told us about, please arrange separate lodging + food accommodations for them. Our registration is closed, and we want to make sure we have enough space for our participants first and foremost!

  7. If you are bringing a +1 or caregiver who is not a paraclimber, please know that they will not be able to sign up for clinics or educational opportunities at the fest. Clinics are by paraclimbers, for paraclimbers. Thanks for understanding!

  8. If you are of legal drinking age and would like to partake in adult beverages while we're hanging out at camp please note that ACF is a BYOB event.

  9. We ask that you also respect the campground's quiet hours between 11pm and 7am.

  10. If you're bringing your own climbing gear, mark it! Label your harness, put a piece of brightly colored tape on your gri-gris, etc. We don't want someone else walking away with gear that isn't theirs.

VALUES: What we believe is what makes us who we are, a community. We hope our guiding values resonate with you! Get to know our core values before the fest:

  1. Climbing: We believe that everyone can climb. Simple as that. We aim to foster a supportive environment for people of all abilities to climb, learn, and connect with the sport alongside professional athletes, coaches, and friends.

  2. Camaraderie: Paraclimbing is more than a community - it's a family. Historically, the only events that brought this family together were climbing competitions. We seek to provide more opportunities for paraclimbers to climb and learn alongside one another outside of the competition mindset.

  3. Community: Aside from climbing, we also host educational clinics, learn about stewardship, cook great food, and throw a darn good party around a campfire. We strive to provide a welcoming space for all paraclimbers (and their families) to come hang out, on or off the rock.
