Meals

Breakfast will be building your own burrito, bowl, or sandwich with options like potato hash, bacon, sausage, eggs, and more. We will also have a selection of instant oatmeal, cereal, fruit, or other quick serve options for those that like a light breakfast. On the last morning we will be making pancakes with Randall’s legendary homemade fruit flavored syrups.

Lunch will be catered by local restaurants like RRG-famous Miguel’s Pizza, and this year we will be bringing it to you at the crag so you don’t have to stop climbing to eat.

Lots of snacks will also be provided (granola bars, fresh fruit, trail mix, etc) to help you replace all those calories you’ll be burning throughout the day.

Dinner often has themed meals such as Pasta Night, Taco Night, Moroccan Night, or who knows what our kitchen crew will come up with this year. For those fussy eaters, we will also have hamburgers and hotdogs that we can quickly throw on the grill on demand. We try to have a salad bar at every meal, and we cook with a lot of veggies. We do our best to minimize processed foods.

Food allergies and
dietary concerns

Our goal at ACF is to create a safe, inviting, and accessible environment for all of our participants; this doesn’t stop at the kitchen. Our cooking crew works hard to create a menu that includes multiple options to meet a variety of dietary concerns so that every participant feels included.

We avoid cooking with ingredients that people are commonly allergic to, and every dish we serve for breakfast and dinner will have a card with a list of ingredients and quick identifier symbols to let you know if a dish is vegan friendly, gluten free, and/or dairy free.

We hope that these cards will help you make your choices if you are on a Paleo, Keto, or other diet as well. We do try to keep the spiciness to a minimum but offer a selection of hot sauces in the condiment area for those that like it hot.

Disclaimer:

Given our outdoor cooking space and limited prep area, we do want to warn those with very severe intolerances or allergies that we cannot absolutely guarantee that there will not be some cross contamination. We will do our best to prep items, like gluten free options, in separate areas and thoroughly clean prep and cooking surfaces beforehand, but we just can’t absolutely guarantee that there will be no cross contamination. Our apologies.

Please bring your own mess kit

A few years ago, we did the math and estimated that one pound of trash is generated per person, per day if we use disposable utensils, plates, and cups. Given the size of this event, that means we can eliminate roughly 150-250lbs of trash per day by asking everyone to bring their own mess kit instead of counting on disposable dishes.

A good mess kit usually has a fork, spoon and knife (or a spork), a plate, bowl, mug and a mesh bag or some way to easily carry and/or air dry your items.

We will have a few sets that can be checked out at the beginning of the event for those that forget theirs and we will set up a dish washing station at every meal for you to be able to wash your own dishes after you eat. Please ask if you need assistance with any of this.
